The 2021 Annual Summit starts on Oct. 5—and it’s one you won’t want to miss.
The theme of this year’s summit — “Investing in Women, Transforming Our World” — will be tackled by 80+ speakers over the course of three days jam-packed with panel discussions, fireside chats, keynotes and spotlights.
On Oct. 5, the focus is on Creating Female-Friendly Entrepreneurial Ecosystems with Alison Rose. She’ll share the UK’s groundbreaking ecosystem approach with fellow CEOs and development financiers working to close the $1.7 trillion gap in financing for WSMEs. The day double clicks on a diverse set of panel topics, from building angel networks, to banking Gen-Z to gender data informing policy.
Oct. 6 is all about Designing Gender Intelligent Fintechs. We will unveil the latest research from the Alliance into how fintechs can tap into the female economy. We’ll also hear pitches from the stellar finalists in our e-hackathon who have been busy developing solutions to solve some of the knottiest challenges to financial inclusion in emerging markets. And, we also invite you to join our first-ever Gender Intelligent Investor Forum, a space for conversation between leading female-founded/female-economy-focused fintechs and top gender-lens investors from around the world.
Finally, on Oct. 7, we’ll bring together global thought leaders on diversity and inclusion to discuss the theme of Building the JEDI Workforce of Tomorrow. The shift toward JEDI reflects companies’ understanding that diversity and inclusion are necessary but no longer sufficient because the workforce of tomorrow must be built on justice and equity as well. We have incredible speakers lined up to discuss what led to this shift and how this plays out in the workplace and in different cultural contexts. We’ll also look at how it relates to achieving balance in our home lives with the burden on women increasing during the pandemic.
On Oct. 7, we’ll also announce the highly deserving members who earned this year’s Female Economy Champions awards and wrap up with a members’ meeting.
