About the Women’s Markets Playbook in Uganda
The Women’s Markets Playbook: Strategy Design for WMSMEs is an intensive 2.5-day training designed viable Women-Centered strategies grounded in data, segmentation, and sustainable program design and to equip Uganda’s leading financial institutions with the tools, frameworks, and global best practices required to successfully serve Women Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (WMSMEs). Designed and delivered by the Financial Alliance for Women, in partnership with the Ministry of Gender, the Central Bank of Uganda, Private Sector Fundation Uganda (PSFU), the GROW Program, and the World Bank the Playbook supports Financial Services Providers (FSPs) in developing commercially execution. The Playbook provides practical tools and lessons on how to get started—and where to go next— featuring best practice cases from leading Alliance members who have successfully built Women’s Markets Programs. Through expert-led sessions and interactive working groups, participants will explore the key building blocks required to develop a sustainable WMSME market strategy.

WHO ATTENDS
The program is designed for Financial Institutions that are signatories to the WE Finance Code in Uganda and are at an early stage in developing their Women’s Markets strategy. Institutions are encouraged to nominate at least two representatives to participate:
- A senior executive responsible for new business development, and
- The Women’s Markets Lead, Head of SME Banking, Strategy Lead, or Marketing Lead. To ensure a highly interactive format, participation is limited to two representatives per institution.
