Announcing All-Stars Americas Instructors

The Financial Alliance for Women is excited to announce our instructor list for the upcoming All-Stars Academy Americas, hosted by member Banco Pichincha in Quito, Ecuador, November 11-15.

The All-Stars Academy is a 5-day immersion program for senior financial services practitioners that builds knowledge around the business case for targeting the female economy as a distinct market as well as best practices for success. Each session of the Academy is taught by experienced guest lecturers from member banks with thriving Women’s Market and Internal Gender Diversity strategies who offer their expertise on a variety of subjects related to developing and implementing a holistic value proposition for women. José has over 20 years of experience in international banking and emerging markets, focused on unbanked or underserved populations. Currently he leads advisory services, product development and strategy for IFC’s Banking on Women business line in Latin America. He also leads mentoring and training activities on best practices in Banking on Women. Prior to joining IFC, he served as Director of Financial Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Services in Washington D.C. and Principal Banking Solutions Specialist at SAS Institute in Miami, Florida. He also worked in leading FIs in the USA. and Latin America such as Citibank and Banco Santander.

Gaby has more than 17 years of experience in the Dominican market. As Marketing Manager, she develops and leads communication strategies for Banco BHD León, including women and SME segments. She was responsible for launching and positioning the MUJER credit card business, as well as the non-financial services value proposition for SMEs. Her efforts have helped make Banco BHD León the brand leader for the Women’s Market in the Dominican Republic. She is an expert in negotiation, marketing systems, franchising and branding.

From 2010-2016 Rachael was National Manger, Women’s Markets. In this role Rachael’s key responsibilities were to drive the segment growth in terms of revenue, footings, wealth, average product per customer and net promoter score through the development and execution of the Women’s Markets program to position Westpac as Bank of Choice for Women. Currently working in the SME business co-ordinating all projects that impact bankers and customers, Rachael continues to drive the Women’s Markets agenda across Business Banking. Rachael is Deputy Chair of Women of Westpac Employee Action Group and was recently awarded Runner up in the 2018 Westpac Group CEO Women of Influence Award.

Pura is the Women Segment Manager at Banco BHD León in the Dominican Republic, in charge of the implementation of the bank’s gender strategy. This includes development of value propositions for both individuals and SMEs, overseeing metrics and scorecard compliance and evolution, and defining action plans to improve team results. She is also responsible for training sales personnel, coordinating internal communications, and analyzing Women’s Market data to identify patterns and sales opportunities.

Enrollment at the All-Stars Academy is open to senior financial services executives with responsibility for new business development, marketing or new customer segments. Through a highly practical and interactive approach, each participant learns how to successfully execute their own programs and develops an implementable plan to move forward. The program is ideal for Alliance members at the early stage of Women’s Market program development as well as those that are not yet members but are seriously considering introducing a program. Non-members are selected to attend through a competitive application process.
