Our 2020 Annual Summit hosted by Mastercard will be held in Singapore from June 2-4 with the theme “Shifting the Paradigm: The Female Economy 2020 and Beyond.” The gathering will bring together major players from both the tech and financial services ecosystems on an unprecedented scale to create a space for collaboration and advancement for all.

At our 2018 Summit, Mastercard launched its Women by Design value proposition for Alliance members, offering human-centered design support to card issuers seeking to tailor cards for the female economy. Hosting the 2020 Summit in Singapore, an important nexus for FinTech and FemTech, enables the Alliance to explore the latest innovations from Mastercard and other members and ecosystem players eager to advance all segments of the female economy.

To set the tone, the event will kick off with a Study Tour to Mastercard’s Innovation Center, where participants will have the opportunity to interact with the latest technologies that are changing the way the consumer interacts with financial services and that are enhancing the user experience. This will be followed by two days of best practice exchange focusing on topics such as:

  • • Female tech founders and VCs: the making of a perfect union
  • • Toward gender-intelligent FinTech — will the industry pivot?
  • • Mobilization to support gender-lens investing: designing and scaling a women of wealth program
  • • Mind the gap: innovation that enables financing the “missing middle” of women-owned/led very small businesses
  • • 30 by 30: Getting to 30 percent in the C-Suite and Board by 2030
  • • Women by Design: payment solutions for the female economy
  • • Tech as an enabler for building women’s financial and business capabilities
  • • Women’s life moments: creating value when it matters
  • • Digital banking: a game changer for reaching the un/under-banked
  • • Remittances to support migrant women and their families

Although most of our members are traditional banks, many have invested in and acquired FinTechs, and/or have launched digital banks and integrated various platforms to offer women unparalleled services. With the 2020 Summit, we take the opportunity to invite FinTechs to learn what it takes to be gender intelligent vs gender neutral, to share their knowledge and experience, and to create partnerships between them and our members.

More information on the 2020 Summit will be revealed in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to our social media channels and watch your inbox for your link and code to register.
