About the Women’s Markets Playbook in Kenya

The Women’s Markets Playbook was an intensive 2.5-day executive training designed to equip Kenya’s leading financial institutions with the tools, frameworks, and global best practices needed to successfully serve Women Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (WMSMEs).

Designed and delivered by the Financial Alliance for Women, in partnership with the Central Bank of Kenya, Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) Kenya, and Argidius, the Playbook supported financial service providers in building commercially viable, women-centered strategies grounded in data, segmentation, and sustainable program design.

Through expert-led sessions, peer learning, and interactive working groups, participants gained practical guidance on how to get started — and how to scale. Drawing on best-practice case studies from Alliance members who had successfully built Women’s Markets programs, the training explored the essential building blocks required to design and implement a sustainable WMSME market strategy.

From business case to execution — participants built their winning WMSME strategy.
