Westpac has just been ranked #1 in the ‘Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World’ which was announced last night at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Speaking from Davos, Westpac Group CEO Gail Kelly said the top ranking is testament to the value of the actions taken across the Group to contribute to a sustainable future.
“We have a long history of embracing new ways of doing business to address emerging issues we believe will affect the sustainability of our communities and our operations,” Gail said.
Social environmental and economic responsibility is a key part of the Westpac Group’s culture embedded from its formation almost 200 years ago.
