Only a few weeks remain before registration to the 2018 Annual GBA Summit closes. Secure your spot at our can’t-miss flagship peer learning event today.
Hosted by Bank al Etihad on the shores of the Dead Sea in Jordan November 13-15, this year’s GBA Summit will take a forward-looking approach, focusing on “The Future of Financial Services for Women.” Under this theme, the Summit will explore the numerous innovations being developed and implemented across the financial services ecosystem to better serve women. In highly engaging, interactive sessions, attendees will learn about and discuss the latest product, service and delivery developments from international and regional banks, insurers, FinTechs and more.
The Summit will kick off with a special Policy Forum featuring regulators and policymakers from MENA and beyond who will focus on the practical steps that can be taken to close the gender gap in financial inclusion in the region – where women are excluded from financial systems at a higher rate than any other region in the world.
Panel Spotlight: IS YOUR COMPANY CULTURE HOLIDNG WOMEN BACK?
Companies have started to understand that gender diversity and inclusion (D&I) efforts directly impact the bottom line of an organization. Despite the business case for gender D&I, women remain largely absent from the leadership ranks of the financial services sector worldwide. While they comprise two-thirds of financial support staff and half of professionals, their numbers decline as they move up the hierarchy to only 21 percent of all executives. Additionally, at all levels above support staff, women are exiting at higher rates than men. This panel will explore how an organization-wide commitment to gender D&I not only helps companies perform better overall, but is also key to building a sustainable presence in the Women’s Market – offering actionable insights companies can leverage to begin creating a more gender diverse and inclusive workspace.

Registration to the Summit closes October 26 and is available by invitation only. Members will receive their link and code to register in their inboxes in the coming weeks. It is extremely important for members who will require a visa to enter Jordan to register early, as the visa issuance process can be quite lengthy for citizens of some countries. Non-members who are interested in attending should reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to determine eligibility.
