Wednesday 13th March 2013
The Istanbul Summit will also include a policy forum organized as part of the G20’s agenda around financial access. High-level policymakers from the relevant Turkish ministries and from international policy centers will discuss how governments can promote financial access for women-owned Small & Medium Enterprises as well as broader steps to support women’s entrepreneurship.
The Summit will also include a session on goal-setting and network management (what we want to achieve as an Alliance and how we will work together to meet those goals), as well as ample opportunities for networking – including a gala dinner cruise down the Bosphorus.
Finally, host bank Garanti, in collaboration with BLC Lebanon and Westpac, will be leading a one-day immersion study tour so the Alliance’s newest members can learn from what it takes to create and run a successful women’s market division – from fellow Alliance members who are recognized global leaders. (New members only)
We will be updating this space regularly as the agenda and speakers are confirmed. We also encourage attendees to make their travel arrangements as early as possible. Plan to arrive in time for the opening reception on the evening of Tuesday, June 18 and to stay through lunchtime, Friday, June 21.
PLEASE NOTE: The Global Banking Alliance for Women’s Annual Summit is open to members only. If you would like to come, but are not a member, please visit “Join GBA” where you can find information and application materials.
