On January 11 Bank of Palestine celebrated the graduation of the second class of its Felestineya Mini MBA Program, which aims to advance the business and leadership skills of women entrepreneurs in Palestine.
Developed in partnership with the International Finance Corporation and in collaboration with the Business Women Forum and EY, the Mini MBA Program fosters women’s skills in the fields of strategic and financial planning, marketing, human resource management, leadership, and beyond. The program also offers participants connection to Bank of Palestine employees who can offer business advice and enables the expansion of their business networks.
Thirty-six women were selected from over 400 applicants hailing from areas around Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza to participate in the 6-month program. With businesses in the food and agriculture, engineering, commerce, education, handicrafts, and beauty sectors, their work has so far created 172 jobs. The IFC recently launched a comprehensive report on the success of the program, which you can download here.
The Mini MBA Program is part of Bank of Palestine’s Felestineya Women’s Market program, launched in 2015. For more information, visit the Felestineya website.
