The first-ever online version of our award-winning All-Stars Academy kicked off on January 21st with a strong showing of over 250 attendees from 70 countries and rousing remarks from Alliance CEO Inez Murray, Alliance Board Chair Ann Cairns and Alec Paxton of the US Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
This year’s All-Stars Academy went online due to necessity, many positives have emerged. First, taking the All-Stars online has expanded the program’s reach: We have 250 practitioners registered from 88 institutions, representing more than 70 countries. It has also allowed more experts to participate: We’ve put together a stellar lineup of 26 contributors, including bank CEOs, fintech entrepreneurs, women’s market banking leads and D&I consultants. And it has enabled us to deliver Academy content in innovative formats: Participants access the full suite of All-Stars content and coaching on a digital learning management system (LMS), where they’ll join 10 live sessions with peers, speakers and coaches, and complete 11 immersive courses on their own.
The learning path that the attendees are now on includes nine distinct topics that take them through each step of building their women-centered strategy—from creating their own market-specific business case, to developing a consumer-centric CVP with financial and non-financial solutions, to gaining buy-in from the C-Suite and embedding the strategy into the institution.
Finally, going digital has also opened the door for attendees to pursue parallel learning paths based on their unique needs. For the first time, we’ve added a specialized track focused on gender diversity and inclusion strategy, built on the success of our recently published “How-To Guide: Becoming the Employer of Choice for Women.”
We are delighted to see how many registrants showed up enthusiastically for the kickoff session last week and are moving through the self-guided courses with curiosity and ambition (evidenced by high watch rates, impressive quiz scores and badges awarded by the platform to users for exploring resources).
We look forward to taking the full learning journey together, seeing how it impacts the many institutions involved, and getting even more of you into the mix during All-Stars en Español this coming May/June. Our Spanish-speaking members will not want to miss it!
