Taking the Reins: Linking Women-Owned Businesses in Developing Countries to Growth
Evidence suggests that the more women-owned businesses there are in a country, the more that country can prosper and grow. How can we support women-owned businesses in developing countries? How can we expand the reach of women entrepreneurs into global markets? What skills do women need to compete? And what are the challenges – and opportunities – women-owned small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face as they seek to enter supply chains and do business globally, not just locally? A panel of experts, including women from some of the world’s most successful companies and women entrepreneurs from Latin America, Africa and South Asia, will discuss these questions and more.
