The first-ever Women-20 (W20) Summit is set to begin Oct. 16, promoting gender inclusiveness and equality. Formed under the Turkish Presidency of the G20, the W20 was created to support the G20 efforts toward achieving inclusive growth and raising the profile of gender issues. The Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGIDER) was selected to Chair the W20.

The W20 Summit will convene a variety of actors from a number of countries to discuss and draft the final text of the Priority Policy areas. The President of Turkey H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will give the keynote address, and other key government, non-profit and international organizations will be participating throughout the two days.

GBA Chief Executive Inez Murray will serve as Co-Chair of the Women’s Access to Finance and Productive Assets task force. The Task Force will work to amplify the efforts of the G20 to advance women’s financial inclusion through the W20 and set priority actions for future work.
