Turkey’s TEB Bank hosted GBA members and partners from 8 countries at its Istanbul headquarters April 14-15 for a comprehensive Study Tour highlighting the bank’s best-in-class non-financial services.
TEB is known worldwide for its provision of innovative non-financial services to SMEs, which the bank views as a competitive differentiator. Simla Ünal, Marketing & Business Development Director for SME Banking at TEB, gave a thorough account of the bank’s approach to serving SMEs and its adaptations to better serve women clients.
In 2014 the bank began supporting female entrepreneurs with a specially designed suite of products and services, officially spinning the initiative into the TEB Women Banking program in May of 2015. TEB’s non-financial service offer to women includes a dedicated SME TV Women video learning platform, TEB Women Academy workshops, consulting and mentoring services, and access to markets and networks of women business owners. In addition, women SME owners also have access to the full suite of services offered to the bank’s SME clients.
