With the support of the Alliance and Consumer CentriX, the Central Bank of Nigeria and Bangladesh Bank have in the past two years launched Women’s Financial Inclusion Data (WFID) dashboards. These dashboards pull in sex-disaggregated data from a range of collectors (the central bank, credit bureaus, interbank transaction systems, etc.) to provide a comprehensive overview of women’s financial access and usage, highlighting gaps and opportunities for regulators and financial services providers alike.
These Market Opportunity Summary Reports, prepared by Consumer CentriX, highlight the takeaways from the WFID Dashboards data 1-2 years after their launch. The findings shows how trends across age, geography, product and transaction type are evolving and detail where women’s participation is strengthening vs. where gender gaps persist.
