The GBA is delighted to welcome Itau as its Latin America anchor bank, with the election of Eduardo Ferreira as Vice-Chair of its Governing Board. Itau joined the GBA in 2013 and since then has demonstrated significant commitment to the Alliance and the Women’s Market. As an anchor bank, Itau will continue supporting the work of GBA throughout the region. Eduardo leads Itaú Unibanco’s microfinance operations. He is also responsible for Itaú’s Women Entrepreneurship Program, an initiative focused on the development of new financial products and services that are adapted to the needs of female entrepreneurs, in partnership with the IDB and IFC.
