GBA member HBL of Pakistan officially launched its Women’s Market program Nov. 17 with a celebration at the bank’s Karachi headquarters.
The event for the “Nisa” program — Arabic for “women” — featured addresses from two of Pakistan’s prominent women achievers: aviation adventurer Tracey Curtis and expert mountaineer Samina Baig. Both stressed the importance of women pursuing their dreams, despite what obstacles they might face.
HBL already banks more women than any other bank in Pakistan. Through Nisa, the bank intends to cater to their unique needs and aspirations and become their preferred bank, providing them with a diverse suite of financial products and services, including access to educational programs.
“HBL Nisa is an exciting initiative for the women of Pakistan,” HBL Branch Banking Head Sima Kamil said at the event. “HBL aims to be the ‘bank of choice’ for women, a place where they are welcomed, heard and valued.”
HBL has a strong commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment in Pakistan. The bank has a distribution network of over 1,600 branches in the country and is recognized as a trusted financial institution.
