For the third straight year, the Financial Times magazine The Banker has named Nordea bank of the year in Denmark.
– The fact that Nordea once again receives the bank of the year award is a great recognition of our work, says Michael Rasmussen, Nordea’s Country Senior Executive in Denmark.
– In a challenging period of time, we have managed to strengthen relations with existing customers and continuously attract new, good customers. And I would like to take the opportunity to thank both our customers and employees for being a significant contributor to making the award possible, says Michael Rasmussen.
Since 2009, when Nordea received the first bank of the year award, Nordea has attracted 170,000 new customers. In addition, studies show that customer satisfaction has increased.
Motivation for the award
Based on a study of the banks’ general development over the past year, The Banker presents the bank of the year award in a number of countries. Additionally, all participating banks have completed a questionnaire on different units of the company.
The Banker is owned by the Financial Times and is the world’s premier banking and finance magazine with a large circle of readers in 180 different countries.
The prize was presented at Bank of the Year Awards 2011 in London on 30 November.
