The Global Banking Alliance for Women is holding our 2018 Annual Summit in the MENA region for the first time. Hosted by Bank al Etihad on the shores of the Dead Sea in Jordan November 13-15, this year’s GBA Summit will take an entirely forward-looking approach, focusing on “The Future of Financial Services for Women.”
Under this theme, the Summit will explore the numerous innovations being developed and implemented across the financial services ecosystem to better serve women. In highly engaging, interactive sessions, attendees will learn about and discuss the latest product, service and delivery developments from international and regional banks, insurers, digital payments companies, FinTechs and more.
The Summit will kick off with a Policy Forum featuring regulators and policymakers from the region who will focus on the practical steps that can be taken to close the gender gap in financial inclusion in MENA – where women are excluded from financial systems at a higher rate than any other region in the world. Host Bank al Etihad will also offer a peek behind the curtain of their Shorouq Women’s Market program, which has been supporting women in Jordan across all segments with a comprehensive set of financial and non-financial solutions since 2014.
Registration to the Summit is available by invitation only. Members will receive their link and code to register in their inboxes in the coming weeks. Non-members who are interested in attending should reach out to vanessa.vanlandingham@gbaforwomen.org to determine eligibility.
