Honduras is making good headway in the collection, production, and analysis of sex-disaggregated financial data—a particularly notable accomplishment given the country’s small size and economic challenges. The main bank regulator, Comisión Nacional de Bancos y Seguros (CNBS), has taken the lead and has spurred progress. This diagnostic report offers a comprehensive assessment of the WFID Partnership’s work from 2019 to 2022 with public, private, and civil sector financial inclusion stakeholders in Honduras. It provides market modeling of the revenue opportunity for banks to increase service to women, as well as recommendations for the ecosystem to accelerate the progress being made by using data to drive gender-inclusive economic growth.
