Lead of Women’s Banking, Stanbic, Uganda

Nansikombi Sarah Lubega is a seasoned banking professional with over 20 years of experience in Uganda’s financial sector.

She currently serves as the Manager, Women Banking at Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited which is part of Standard Bank Group, where she leads strategic initiatives focused on empowering women through inclusive financial solutions.

She has served on the Board of Trustees for Stanbic Uganda Holdings Provident Fund and the Uganda Bankers SACCO Board of Trustees, contributing to governance and financial sustainability.
A Certified Financial Literacy Trainer of Trainers, Sarah is passionate about financial education and community empowerment. She actively promotes the use of gender-disaggregated data to inform product design, policy development, and strategic decision-making. By analysing data on women’s access, usage, and barriers to financial services, Sarah ensures that banking solutions at Stanbic Bank Uganda Ltd are responsive to the unique needs of women clients.
