Qiyong’s background combines 15+ years of engineering, consulting, startup incubation and venture capital experiences in both the US and China in various cleantech fields. Qiyong has accumulated deep knowledge and extensive experiences in identifying and promoting cleantech solutions, especially in China market. She is currently working with ADB Ventures as Senior Investment Specialist and is responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, and deal execution in China market, as well as developing partnerships with the PRC innovation ecosystem. Prior to ADB Ventures, Qiyong worked with ADB’s Pilot Asia Pacific Climate Technology Finance Center, responsible for promoting investments in cleantech through venture capital and private equity funds in China. Previously, Qiyong worked as Investment Director of Unicorn Capital, a VC fund specialized in cross-border China related investing and commercialization of clean technologies. Prior to Unicorn Capital, she worked as the Director of Investment Research at Tsing Capital, the pioneering and leading cleantech venture capital firm in China. Before that, she also worked with the China Greentech Initiative and Barker Lemar Engineering Consultants. Qiyong holds an MBA from Tuck School of Business of Dartmouth College, a M.S. in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University, and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University.
