The Global Financial Inclusion (Global Findex) Database is a project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to measure how people in 148 countries – including the poor, women, and rural residents – save, borrow, make payments and manage risk. In addition the database provides 506 country-level indicators of financial inclusion summarized for all adults and disaggregated by key demographic characteristics.
