2 Minutes Read

The 2019 Annual Financial Alliance for Women Summit, hosted by AXA, kicks off June 17 with the first-ever GBA CEO Forum, convening leading CEOs and C-Suite changemakers from a wide range of organizations to share business solutions for women’s economic empowerment. The event will begin with a fascinating discussion on the topic between AXA CEO Thomas Buberl and Canadian Ambassador to France Isabelle Hudon.

Through two dynamic panels, leaders at the CEO forum will then share how they are championing women’s inclusion using advanced business case examples, candidly discuss challenges and solutions, and comment on specific goals their organizations have to support economic opportunities for women. The first panel, “Building Resilience Through Inclusion,” will explore how the private sector can help build resilience throughout women’s lifecycles with access to the right combination of financial and non-financial services, and in providing that, how companies are building their own resilience. The second panel session of the CEO Forum looks at “Building Female-Friendly Entrepreneurial Ecosystems” by working toward a global blueprint for achieving gender parity in entrepreneurship.

The day will continue with a look at how the latest technology is transforming the financial services customer experience, a showcase of how diverse financial institutions are identifying and addressing key life moments for women, an exploration of key Alliance findings on how to get more women into the C-Suite in financial services, and a session examining innovations in climate finance with a gender lens.

The first day will conclude with a special welcome reception in the Atrium of AXA’s Paris headquarters.
