About Private Sector Foundation Uganda
The Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is Uganda’s Apex private sector body, uniting over 340 business associations and corporate entities to drive economic growth through advocacy, capacity building and strategic partnerships. As the government’s trusted implementation partner for multiple private sector-oriented projects, PSFU bridges policy and practice transforming Uganda’s business ecosystem through flagship initiatives like the GROW, YAW/LFS, CEDP and INVITE Projects plus the WE Finance Code. We do not just represent the private sector; we activate it, ensuring women, youth and marginalized entrepreneurs move from survival to scale.
Women’s Market Program (WMP)
- Over 30 years of successful private sector policy and advocacy dialogue with the Government of Uganda.
- Implementing agency for the $217 million USD World Bank-funded GROW Project (Generating Growth Opportunities and Productivity for Women Enterprises).
- Co-anchor of the Uganda WE Finance Code (launched December 2025) alongside Bank of Uganda and Ministry of Gender, Labor and Social Development.
- Partnered with Centenary Bank to implement Cente Supa Woman Program an initiative aimed at increasing financial inclusion for women in Uganda whilst improving their levels of income and livelihoods.
