Paradis Imfura Nishimwe

Founder and Managing Director, Wood Habitat, Rwanda

Paradis Nishimwe Imfura is a young Rwandan designer, entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist, and a truly transformational leader. At the age of 22, she started her company- my favorite
Rwandan company- Wood Habitat. That company became ten years old this past week. Inspired by the African values of human connection, community, creativity, and cultural heritage, Wood
Habitat is recognized beyond the region for collectible art furniture communicating Paradis’ creative philosophy: DESIGN MEANS DIGNITY, alongside a distinguishable range of premium furniture pieces. She has furnished and serviced five-star hotels, creative corporate spaces, Kigali’s own golf club, and private homes, such as my own. In her own words- “As an African designer and leader my passion is to create a successful dynamic between creativity, leadership, and scalability” in order to respond to social challenges. In short, one of Rwanda’s most successful young entrepreneurs and a deeply compassionate and creative human being, Paradis Imfura is a role model for all of you- boys as well as girls- and an inspiration to to fellow creative entrepreneurs.
