Henry Obike is the Chief Innovation Officer at I&M Bank Rwanda. He is a financial expert in digital banking, with bias in product development, digital transformation and technology commercialization for business growth.
Prior to joining I&M Bank (Rwanda) Plc, Henry was based in Ghana and responsible for Digital Financial Service and innovation at FirstBank Ghana a subsidiary of FirstBank Nigeria Plc. He also held prominent roles at the United Bank of Africa Group office and Fidelity Bank Ghana where he led various digital transformation initiatives on the back of strategic partnership development between Bank and Mobile Network Operators.
Henry also worked in the consulting space for over 8 years as the digital financial service expert at IPC GmBH (a notable German consulting firm based in Frankfurt) where he was the senior digital financial service expert overseeing digital strategy development and implementation of digitization projects funded by development finance partners for financial service providers across sub-Sahara Africa.
He has acquired over 26 years’ experience working in the financial sector, with proven expertise in the facilitation of access to finance through product development and business innovation in key markets across Africa.
Henry holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation and an alumnus of the prestigious China Europe International Business School, Shanghai.
