WE Finance Code Community of Champions

The WE Finance Code Community of Champions (CoC) is a global peer learning community made up of national Code champions who share best practices across implementing countries. The CoC meets four times per year online and once in-person for a day-long deep dive workshop on emerging best practices— the WE Finance Code Study Tour.

To support the successful implementation of the Code in country, We-Fi is rolling out a global learning agenda across implementing countries that will ensure good practices are identified, codified and shared. National Code Champions are asked to join the WE Finance Code Community of Champions, an international peer learning community. Members will gather for four 90-minute webinar sessions and 1 in person meeting per year.

Who are the Champions?

WE Finance Code Champions are forward-thinking senior leaders who are driving Code efforts. Members include Central Banks and other financial services regulators, data aggregators (if different), financial service provider (FSP) signatories, and other key ecosystem actors.

Up to four Code Champion Institutions from each country are invited to participate, along with a National Code Coordinator and a representative of the supporting We-Fi Implementing Partner. The Champion Institution must put forward a senior leader, nominated by a CEO, to lead the Institution’s Code efforts. The Champion Institution must have sector-wide influence and available resources to support Code implementation. It is recommended to nominate at least two individuals from each Champion Institution to join the CoC, and to have representatives from at least four institutions per country.

Why Attend?

The CoC annual meetings serve as a platform to provide Code country Champions with essential tools, practical knowledge, and best practice examples. These meetings are designed to help participants better implement the Code. The focus is on sharing experiences and fostering community.
