During its Annual Meeting in Bahia, Brazil, the Inter-American Development Bank emphasized the importance of private sector development, and highlighted the importance of focusing on the women’s market during a panel titled “The future of Banking is Women”. Gema Sacristan, Chief of Financial Markets Division of the Inter-American Development Bank, and GBA Advisory Board Member presented on the growth prospects of this untapped market and highlighted various GBA members. Her presentation was followed by a panel discussion that included Eduardo Ferreira from Itau and GBA Board Member, Barbara Magnoni of EA Consultants, and Rebecca Ruf, of GBA.
