GBA member in Pakistan HBL announced the official launch of its Nisa Women’s Market program March 20, promoting women’s financial inclusion and economic empowerment in the country with a holistic program that provides them with the financial and non-financial tools they need to succeed.

HBL previously announced Nisa to the public in a Nov. 17, 2015, celebration at the bank’s Karachi headquarters, featuring addresses from two of Pakistan’s prominent women achievers: aviation adventurer Tracey Curtis and expert mountaineer Samina Baig. Both stressed the importance of women pursuing their dreams, despite what obstacles they might face.

Through Nisa — Arabic for “women” — the bank intends to cater to the unique needs and aspirations of women in business, professional women, students and other mass market segments by providing them with a diverse suite of financial products and services, including access to information, networking opportunities and educational programs. HBL already banks more women than any other bank in Pakistan and is aiming to become the country’s bank of choice for women with this comprehensive program.
