2018 GBA Summit Agenda ThumbnailAccording to the Global Findex, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region has the highest financial inclusion gender gap in the world: Just 35 percent of women have a bank account compared to 52 percent of men. The SME Finance Forum estimates the credit gap for women-owned/led MSMEs in the region to be US$38 billion. The Summit will also look at the main legal and regulatory barriers inhibiting women’s full financial inclusion in a special MENA Policy Forum, and the progressive actions being taken by policymakers to level the playing field. This session will build on GBA’s work with the W20, GPFI and WFID. More than 250 top executives from a wide range of Women’s Market financial services ecosystem players will gather at the Summit to learn and network. You can take a look at the full high-level agenda of engaging, interactive sessions here. The GBA Summit is an invitation-only event. Members, check your inboxes for your link and code to register. If you will need a visa to enter Jordan, it is especially important that you register soon, as the visa process can take up to two months for some nationalities.
