Zeina Khoury Daoud’s Le Potager Bio uses 100% organic farming,
creating healthful produce with low environmental impact.
Zeina and her twin sister Myrna founded Le Potager SARL in 1994, selling products like olive oil and packaged thyme in the Lebanese market. In 2010, Zeina decided to expand the business line to include herbs, fruits and vegetables farmed completely organically and free of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers and additives. The business took off, and Le Potager Bio products – including the popular Le Potager Bio Box of fruits and vegetables delivered to subscribers’ doorsteps – are now sold throughout Lebanon and the Gulf Region.
As the winner of the 2016 BLC Bank Brilliant Lebanese Awards Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Zeina’s business saw an immediate increase beginning the morning after she received the honor, according to Lebanese news outlet Annahar.
“It’s all very exciting,” she said. “From this morning, my phone has been ringing off the hook with new subscribers for our service.”
